Detective Comics #33

 Here it is the Batman Origin Story! We all know this, parent murder in an alley after a movie. Bruce swears to avenge their deaths. Trains mentally and physically, studies many science related activities, and has a ton of cash. He sees a bat as an omen and there we go.

As Bruce Wayne walks the streets on Manhattan, a dirigible shines a bright red light and many buildings explode which panics the people below and leave thousands of people dead. A message is delivered that the scarlet horde is coming to take over the word and not to resist.

Bruce Wayne discovers is Carl Kruger who has a 'death ray' and is using it to take over the world and become its dictator. When Batman pays Krueger a visit, Batman is captured and bound but gets away with a steel blade hidden in his boot before Kruger's house explodes. Batman goes after Kruger using the Bat-Plane and finds his men in a hanger in a nearby airfield. Batman destroys some death rays that were to be loaded onto the trucks and used to destroy the city, and heads for the death rays in the dirigible. 

Kruger see Batman and shoots him and Batman falls. Krugers decided to get rid of Batman and tells a guard to stand guard as he goes and retrieves it from his dirigible. When Krueger returns he turns the death ray on Batman and he turns to ash. Little did Krueger know, but Batman wasn't hurt as he was wearing a bulletproof vest and switches clothes with the guard. It was actually the guard that was turned to ash and Batman got away in his bat-plane.

Later Bruce Wayne goes into the lab and sprays a strange chemical on his bat-palne and leaves to encounter Krueger. There is a dog fight over Manhattan and the chemical that was sprayed on the bat-plane nullified the effects of the death ray. Batman then steers right for the dirigible and both crafts explode. Both escaped right before the explosion. Batman escape via parachute and Krueger by small plane hidden in the dirigible. 

Batman lassos the Kruegers plane and climbs on the wing. Krueger draws his gun but Batman throw  gas pellet into the cockpit before Krueger gets off a shot, Krueger gets knocked unconscious and plane crashes into the water below. Batman survives but Krueger doesn't.
